As a high school teacher, I often hear, “There is nothing to do in South Bend!” But in the years that my husband and I have raised our four children here, we have come to strongly disagree with this statement. Below I’ve collected some of my go-to resources for activities, classes and special events around the city—none of which involve a screen! I encourage you to explore the fabulous resources that we have in our own community. Each organization highlighted here also has a social media presence, which you can follow to save time and keep yourself in the know about what the city has to offer.
